La Redoute Intérieurs: SS23 interior trends

SS23 interior trends

Out with the old, in with the new. We've just ushered in the new year, and so it's time to look ahead to the year to come. We dive into the interior design trends for SS23, along with La Redoute Intérieurs. Our forecast? Warmth and coziness come first - think an earthy and golden palette, and natural materials and shapes - with a crazy statement piece here and there. Time for a breath of fresh air in your interior!

1# Browns are back

This season, our interior will be dipped in browns. That's right, brown is back! It's a nod to the 1970s and reminiscent of natural materials, and more than welcome after years of bright whites and cool grays. Create a soothing palette with chocolate and caramel-colored pieces, that brings warmth and cosiness to your home.

2# Sculptural lightning

Basic, boring lamps deserve no place in our interior this year. Lamps will become real statement pieces next season: we're talking curvy, a large shape or a mix & match of materials. The crazier, the better, as befits a true work of art. They will light up any room, and we mean that both literally and figuratively. Wall lights will also do exceptionally well in our living space. Innovative is the key word here!

3# Warm wood & wicker

Once again this year we are opting for warmer wood and wicker, and an earthy color palette in furniture and fabrics. Not only that, all natural materials continue to do well. Not a shocker really, as they match well with just about everything and give off a warm and inviting atmosphere.

4# Statement rugs

Carpets will also take on a special role in our homes. Besides tying the room together and spoiling our feet to warmth, rugs will now also serve as floor art. This is not to say that rugs lose their functionality, but they will gain an additional function next season and become a real treat for the eye. Spice up that one room by adding a rug in a bright color or crazy shape.

5# Curves

We may be returning to more basic and natural materials, but the shapes are anything but. Think curved, ribbed or kinked. Anything can and anything goes, as long as it's not straight. Oh, and we find this trend in seating as well. That plumpy sofa or armchair will not only attract attention, they're also perfect to relax in. We're talking curvy, cozy and comfortable!

6# Gentle gold

Our interiors will shine in the coming spring months, with the soft touch of a rising sun. Add a dash of gentle gold here and there (perhaps some sunshine yellow, why not?) and we'll be feeling cheerful all year round. A color that exudes luxury and warmth, and is thus perfect for revamping your home.
